What this score looks at
- Upkeep. In dusty Western climates, dirty panels can lose 10–25% of their output.
- Support. Many installers have closed since 2024. If yours did, warranty and repair work needs a new company.
- Pests. Birds nesting under panels can damage wiring and the roof.
- Bill trend. A rising bill can mean lost production, a failed inverter, or a utility rate change.
